Solon’s Academic Challenge team won the Ohio Academic Competition State Championship, the first time Solon High School has ever won the state title. In winning the state championship, team members Benjamin Lehrman, Jasper Lee, Nishanth Uli and Ethan Huang bested teams from around the state, including Sycamore and Walnut Hills High Schools in Cincinnati. Throughout the year, the team has won seven tournament championships – the most ever by a Solon team. The team will compete at the NAQT National Tournament over Memorial Day weekend.
